Walkinstown Library Performance by Scoil Úna Naofa Orchestra
It was a ‘Haunted House’ at Walkinstown Library on 10th May 2017 as the orchestra played pieces like ‘Paradise Island’, ‘Bohemian Stomp’ and ‘There’s a Ghost in the Living Room’. Orchestra members not only played but also sang telling the story of this spooky visit.
The orchestra really played to their best under the direction of Nicole Hudson.
Well done to all orchestra members for making this a special day at the library for so many.
As the library became an area of creativity rather than ‘silence please’ the orchestra entertained many supporters and surprised visitors to the library. Dr Joanna Crooks spoke about the exciting new government initiative recognising the importance of arts in the community and music in schools, ‘Creative Ireland’ (click for more on this important project)
